Specialising in leadership and management development, Cherry works as a facilitator, trainer and coach with individuals and groups, developing their natural talents to be the best they can be, and supporting and challenging them to make a positive difference in their world, and create human and inspiring working environments Cherry designs and delivers face-to-face and virtual development programmes and 1:1 coaching programmes with a wide range of international clients, from banks, hi-tech, pharmaceutical and construction businesses, to several NGO’s including Save the Children, WaterAid and Tearfund. She has also worked with the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation and the World Food Program. Cherry has trained and coached many HR Directors and HR Business Partners, as well as business partners in other functions such as IT, Finance and Legal. She has travelled extensively and worked with different cultures across Europe, the USA, Asia and Africa. Before specialising in leadership and management development, Cherry worked for 20 years in international HR, including the Red Cross, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and a large global IT manufacturer where she was nominated ‘Exemplary Leader for Europe’ for embodying the company values and demonstrating ‘humanity in the jungle’ in her work. Cherry is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and a member of the International Coaching Federation. Qualifications include the Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring (Merit) from Oxford Brooks University, the Post Graduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching from Barefoot Coaching, the TAP Certificate in Online Facilitation Skills, and an MA in Modern Languages from Oxford University. Cherry uses a range of assessment tools and is accredited in MBTI, DiSC and SDI. Cherry wrote a book, published by the CIPD, ‘Managing for the First Time’ in 2000, which sold over 12,000 copies, and has been on the Editorial Advisory Board for ‘People Management’ journal. Cherry’s style is engaging and practical, and she enjoys helping people build their clarity, competencies and confidence to be their best and add value to their organisation.
