Only half of the boards surveyed find time to talk about talent four times a year, and ‘only 36% say the conversations they’re having as a board are sufficient enough to fully explore the talent agenda’.
It’s incredible, and yet I’m not surprised.
It’s incredible because in most organisations their people are their biggest cost.
It’s not surprising to anyone in HR because they know how hard it can be to get senior leaders to focus on people.
But why is this the case? The quote above implies that there is the appetite.
