RBL’s HR Competency Study

RBL’s HR Competency Study is the most important research globally about HR’s organisational capabilities, and Dave Ulrich asked me to invite you to the big reveal of the 2021 results on 11 May.

How do you think the HR role has changed?

There’s no substitute for high quality research and, as Dave says in this post, this research has led to pivotal shifts in his thinking, such as business partner and credible activist.

These are two powerful concepts in particular that we drew on for our own research into what drives successful HR.

To build our framework, we put to one side the technical aspects of the role, eg. OD, reward and talent. These are vital, and yet can only achieve results when embraced and embedded by business leaders.

Therefore, we focused in on the behaviours and activities that drive an effective, productive and mutually rewarding relationship between HR and business leaders – the ‘enablers’ of delivering results that are under the control of every HR professional.

I’m eager for an update. See you there!
