Lead your team to new clarity and focus

'The CHRO of the Future' report by Russell Reynolds Associates

‘The CHRO role has elevated’ says this report by Russell Reynolds Associates and shares research on exactly how the focus has shifted.

‘Today CHROs spend 80% or more of their time working with the most senior stakeholders in their organizations on the most sensitive issues, such as C-suite succession, how an organization is preparing for the future of work, and transformation …

‘Alongside this, CHROs are typically the confidant of the CEO, acting as a sounding board and thought partner.’

For many HR leaders this is where they want to be, but it’s tough to achieve. Most often, the major obstacle is time. They want to be strategic, but are continually pulled down into the operational.

The answer is to shift the level at which the whole HR function operates so that the CHRO can delegate effectively and grasp the strategic agenda.

Many HR functions are under-resourced. These pressures can undermine teamwork, and distance can creep in between the different parts of HR. In turn, this results in under-optimisation of HR’s precious resources.

This vicious cycle impacts the CHRO too. But it can be reversed.

Our webinar ‘How to build a united, business-led HR Team‘ will open up your thinking about how you can lead HR into a new future where HR is led by business needs.
