How is working from home affecting HR’s own relationships with line managers and senior leaders?

Has it helped you to work better together, or has all the pressure you’re under put relationships under stress?

For example, has it forced HR people to go more into ‘tell’ mode because of having to implement so much change so quickly? Or have you been able to use the opportunity to deepen relationships?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the impact of the pandemic on relationships between HR and client groups.

This data from Willis Towers Watson suggests that longer term full-time WFH numbers are likely to settle at around 22% – and, presumably, this may include HR people themselves.

We’re all learning how important proximity is in relationships with client groups – how much does it matter? Will you get back to your office as soon as you can?
