Dave Ulrich: ‘Partner to discover solutions’

How are we going to find the right path going forward? We’re impatient to make plans but the ground hasn’t yet settled into a firm landscape. It’s still moving.

We have an instinctive need for more certainty, and guidance from ‘experts’ can feel reassuring. Our inboxes are full of suggestions from people who claim to know the answers.

Dave Ulrich is also suffering from ‘ideas’ fatigue. His recent and very readable article hit a chord with me (link in comments below). He urges us to filter all the ‘advice’ that we’re getting right now.

He reminds us to trust our own resources and to select partners who will ‘work to empower you to create your own solutions.’

The most important question at this stage, is not WHAT we’re going to do, but HOW we’re going to get to our own right answer.
