Confidence is critical to HR

Confidence is critical to HR, and yet it’s tough to maintain when the function is under-resourced and undermined – which, sadly, happens a lot.

I’m sure you’ll have noticed the excellent work of Dr Felicity Baker and Dr Jo Burrell on this topic, and and we’ve also done our own research which I’ll share.

Confidence in HR isn’t ‘just’ a nice-to-have, as we show in this gif. There’s a whole chicken-and-egg thing going on here.

We’ve researched what organisations need from HR, and therefore how to build the capabilities of HR people to move into a more strategic space and get the credit and respect that they deserve.

I’m running our popular HRBP workshop again (updated), which is designed to give you a boost as well as some practical ideas, including how to:

  • Build your strength and confidence, and belief in your own value to the business
  • Become more business savvy and credible in the business
  • Advocate more effectively for the HR priorities that are critical success factors for business
  • Build your reputation, credibility and influence as partners in business success
  • Make more measurable and visible contributions to business priorities.

It’s on Thursday 24th July from 12.30 to 14.30 UK time, for just £50, spaces limited to a small group.
