Confidence matters. When we’ve got it, we’re unstoppable. When we don’t have it, we lose our mojo and deliver less impact.

About this study

HR’s status, credibility and influence has a major impact on its ability to deliver results. As a function, HR has an unfortunate legacy. Historically an administration function, it has proved difficult to elevate its reputation as a driver of business success. In seeking solutions for this challenge, we must recognise that legacy and its implications for the people within the HR profession. That is why, in this survey, we are researching:

  • How HR is regarded by its organisation,
  • How HR professionals regard their own function, and
  • Self-perceptions of HR professionals.

These insights will lead to solutions that will deliver lasting strength and impact for HR and thus for their organisations.

We developed this study with Protea Solutions. We are both strong advocates for the HR profession and are committed to supporting those within it.
