Business-driven HRBP? Yes, but and human too
It’s quite a juggling act – you can’t do your job in HR without humanity, it just doesn’t work. On the other hand, you’ve got to deliver business value. Hard-edged one minute, empathetic the next.
Some business leaders interpret empathy as caring, and therefore lacking in business value. However, as an HR professional you know how critical it is to build trust if you’re going to get to the bottom of the issue.
This is a daily balancing act for the HRBP, and it can be a rollercoaster. The ups and downs can be draining, especially if you’re in a challenging environment.
