AI will never replace the HR Business Partner

The HR Business Partner role will remain pivotal, wherever AI takes us. That’s why we have to work harder to ensure that HR Business Partners can fulfil the potential of the role.

Many research reports confirm that the relationship between HR and business leaders will become even more important. Yet, many HRBPs still find the role exhausting and frustrating because they get dragged into too much operational work.

That doesn’t deliver value for anyone. It’s a wasted opportunity.

Operational work has a kind of gravitational pull – it has to be done, or you let down the stakeholder. HRBPs are committed to their stakeholders, and they need help to push back and rise up.

The role has to be set up for success – there are many factors involved in that, and we understand those and how to overcome the downward cycle. When partnering is led from the top, and the whole HR team pulls together, this critical role can become a powerful two-way portal.
